(Funny little play there, no room to park in the Park Cities.) Seriously, how many times have you been to a party and had to park two blocks away from the host home? Plus when cars line both sides of the street, who can drive on the street? I think Lakewood and Preston Hollow have broader streets and thus, homeowners in those areas tend to have larger parties. In any case, I was shocked to see this “no parking” sign nailed to a tree at 4241 Bordeaux Avenue the other day when I was touring Erin Mathews’ fabulous new listing at 4236 Bordeaux — be still my heart: Jeff Gilbert, pure English Tudor, interiors by Ann Schooler, landscaping by Lamberts. I’ll post it for you soon.

All I can imagine is the homeowners across the street got sick of the construction trucks so bought one of these signs and planted it.

But, really, who does that? And can you legally call and have cars towed from the public street in front of your house?
