Green Star, a Dallas-based custom builder specializing in energy efficient green building practices, built the “green luxury suite.”:

The three-story outdoor suite features the latest in green building techniques, including a high-efficiency ductless HVAC system, reflective windows, tankless water heaters, and a custom terrazzo floor made from recycled glass.  Green Star is also building an elevated viewing platform inside the team’s indoor practice facility. The Cowboys plan to integrate the outdoor suite and the indoor viewing platform into the team’s corporate sponsorship program.

The facility currently has a capacity of 50 people per each of its two levels. But it only has one bathroom … sounds like the coporate big wigs will get that Joe Cowboy Fan feeling of waiting in line to drop the kids off at the Superbowl.

Since the stadium was designed, a lot has changed. The corporate world is in shambles and corporate hospitality at this point is non-existent. And while the Cowboys say that 273 of the 300 suites are booked, don’t think “America’s Team” won’t go through America’s troubles. Trust me, some of those leases that are signed through 2029 won’t even stand the test of 2009.

Rovell’s advice is to convert some of the boxes into a much larger suite where corporations can by individual tickets instead of paying for an entire box.
