The Consumer Product Safety Commission says Chinese dry wall is really bad stuff. So bad, in fact, it may corrode the metal in your home, rendering your HVAC coils, electrical fixtures, maybe even pipes (?) useless. I have asked and been told there is no Chinese dry wall in Dallas, but there is in Houston. Please email if you know of any in our area!
Meantime, my fave Financial Advisor tells me a new Kentucky Fried Chicken opens up every 23 hours in China. Hmmmm.
Candy, how recently was Chinese dry wall used in the US? Our addition was added in 1980. Are we at risk?

Good technical resource on Chinese drywall. They started importing Chinese drywall in 2003, so your 1980 addition should not be at risk.
