Sara’s Secrets Shuttered?

sarasecretlovers The store on Lovers Lane that sold sex toys and other titillating, spice-up-your-love-life paraphernalia, and threw Parkies into a Puritan-induced flurry last May, appears to be closed. I was in the area yesterday picking up a birthday cake at Astons and had to make an illegal U-turn back when I saw the empty windows. What gives? Signs in the window are directing folks to Condoms To Go on Greenville.

Ah well. Back to the internet (insert link to fave sites here).

Have always thought that was an interesting name.. “Condoms to go”… might I ask…what’s the alternative? In store use, just doesn’t seem like a viable option..

Oh my goodness it’s Sunday and Walt’s Birthday… some conversation.. I am amazed that store lasted that long……

I think all the kids of the puritan Highland Park parents kept it in business…I hope there’s not a resultant pregnancy boom in HP now that it’s gone.

I mean really. The second I heard about that store, the only thing I thought was, “tick-tock.” I never wondered if that store would close. I only wondered when.

I live right behind that strip center in Briarwood, and there was nary a soul in there every time I drove by. Stopped in once for a last minute bachelorette party gift and asked the clerk if they were surviving. He said the store just about paid its rent, and that was it.

Any residents who buy those products do it across town where they won’t be seen–
