That’s what this page on DCAD’s website seems to indicate. The current owner may be listed as Mark Kinney (we’re being told he is a Hillwood employee), but the P.O. Box address, 269014, is linked to the Perot Foundation and Ross Perot Jr. The Highland Park lot is 52,746 square feet and valued at $9,388,790 for county tax purposes. It was also once the site of former Dallas Cowboys owner Bum Bright’s home.
So even Ross Perot Jr doesn’t want to live in Victory Park?
thank you Candy for great scoop!
John M – thanks for a good Saturday evening laugh…
Not funny, John M. [sigh]
@muse I wrote this one. And you’re welcome.
Whats really sad is that the previous owners spent years and millions of dollars designing a 20+K Sq Ft house for this site and went to the trouble of tearing down the original home (which was in old condition, but certainly could have been salvaged) – but the WORST PART? They also destroyed 30+ Old Mature Live Oaks, Oaks, and Pecans – some of which were more than 6 feet in diameter – all because they wanted a basement garage – and now nothing is built and they sold the land. They should be publicly tared and feathered and humiliated.
thank you Josh! and yes Patrick it is such a darn shame!!!
Let me guess, a new Mediterranean Villa to replace the old Mediterranean Villa. It would be nice if the Perots would make a subtle architectural statement. Wilson Fuqua comes to mind.
