These banks are naughty. They are on the unofficial “problem bank” list — either they have received a cease and desist letter from the FDIC to “cease and desist from engaging in the unsafe or unsound banking practices and committing the violations of law, regulation and/or written conditions imposed by an order” or they have a written agreement with the FDIC to take some time out, get twenty lashes and behave. (No more lending to Uncle Fred’s cousin or that schoolteacher who tells you she earns $176K a year.) These are banks that caught my attention because I’ve seen them as I drive around town searching for House Porn:
First Bank of Snook — no, I don’t ever see this one, but you have to love a bank named after a town named Snook, Texas.
First National Bank of the Mid-Cities
LegacyTexas Bank
Prosper Bank in Prosper
United Community Bank, National Association, Highland Village
