Major trend in urban living. You don’t have rolling meadows, so the residents have to have a romper room. Like playroom at the The House, furnished with plenty of toys for big boys.
One Comment to “Dallas Urban Real Estate: Playroom at The House”
My husband and I are among the first settlers at The House and honestly – it takes some adjustment. Fabulous pool – that’s always sparkling and never needs cleaning; we’re learning to just sit here and actually read the paper! Awesome staff – that comes to work every day ready to serve; REAL service (I had heard about the concept of service but based on the last few years, thought maybe it was just something we all had in “the old days”). Incredible space – nothing like a pink sunrise over downtown Dallas and downsizing from 4,000 sq ft to 2,000 sq ft is liberating! And an invigorated social life – new friends to laugh with and live life with as we WALK to dinner at Medina. Yes – it’s tough to get use to this new life style. But we’re managing.

DallasDirt is a daily discussion of the Dallas-Fort Worth real estate market, led by D Home Real Estate Editor Mary Candace Evans with contributions from real estate experts and aficionados. Topics include house porn, hot neighborhoods, hot agents, hip pockets, celebrity listings, second homes, vacation homes, real estate trends, data analysis, tips for buying, selling, or staying put. If DallasDirt were a house, it'd be a three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath ranch transitional on a quarter acre lot with stainless kitchen and granite countertops: sophisticated with designer touches, room for expansion. Make an offer.
