Bush Gate In Motion On Daria

bushgate I twittered the news this weekend when I saw the crews at work Saturday afternoon. DFW Around Town posted details six hours ago. (I am so competitive!) But what I am really wondering — what is that Tatum Brown homebuilders sign (tan colored) all about? My fingers are walking right over to my cell phone… could it be that construction will begin on a new Bush abode once the gate goes up? Or is this a spec home (Tatum Brown are master home builders; you will note most of their inventory is SOLD) sure to sell like hotcakes on the Darias… dialing, ringing, hi, may I please speak with Mark Danuser?

Rumor is that George W. does not pay his bills. That is he hasn’t paid the contractors who renovated the Daria digs to make it Secret Service ready. IJS.

If true, that’s a shocker.

One would naturally assume he has the money to pay the bills, but that assumption is just that– an assumption. Maybe he’s lost a lot of money due to the severe recession? I presumed his net worth to be in the neighborhood of $30M to $50M.

Surely George W. Bush would hire a team of lawyers, and financial managers, to pay his bills. People with a high net worth seldom write the checks. They just have someone else do it.
