Could TRCC Dismantle Lead To Higher Building Costs?

Many consumer groups felt the TRCC was so builder-friendly, it just gave victims an even bigger nightmare. But builders say letting everyone duke it out in court will lead to higher costs for everyone. So who should regulate the home building industry: the state or the courts?

It didn’t appear to work well for consumers with the mediation/arbitration of the TRCC, so time to try the courts. Have you ever heard a business proclaim happiness when the responsibilities to the consumer are increased? No?

Home prices will go up as a result. Home buyers are crazy and have unrealistic expectations.

I once had a homeowner go to the TRCC because the slate tile they picked out hurt their feet when they walked on it. They wanted me to replace the tiles free of charge because it was “defective”.

I can talk for days about ridiculous people like this.
