Not exactly the photo you want the world to see when you are marketing your home for sale. You’d think the agent would have known better, but the buck always stops with us, the homeowners. Of course, maybe the problem is that this home happens to be on Margarita Drive
Her camera has been drinking again!
Does the property back up to Rehab Rd.?
Are there twelve steps that go up the walkway?
Unfortunately, when viewing listings I see a lot of issues like this. You often see agents posting pictures of property at Christmas or with snow in front. When those properties are still listed in June that is problematic. You would think things like the look of your listing would be real estate 101.
I love the irony of this one.
Sad there are so many listings like this. How many times have you seen photos of a home that shows how the residents live in virtual squalor or have a complete and total inability to stage their home for a sale.
The only thing worse I can think of the home in Oak Point we viewed a few years ago where the teenage son was asleep when we walked in for the showing – and the home was filthy inside.
We are moving to another part of the country and you would not believe some of the photos I’ve seen on real estate websites. One had the family dog walking through the kitchen and another had a 2 liter bottle of Coke on the kitchen counter. These houses were both on the market for $700,000+.
If it is any consequence, I now (sadly) live away from Dallas and am trying to sell my condo and the photos typically seen on Dallas realtor’s site (such as ebby.com) are FAR better than what is seen on sites where I live.
There’s a great website devoted to such unfortunate photos: http://www.lovelylisting.com. Great fun…
