    “To be honest….”

I’m stumped! What’s honesty? That must be a foreign word. Maybe Bavarian or German?

These days, I’ve never heard an American, let alone a Texan, say the word “honesty.” At least not with a straight face.

A nice rub by a masseuse would be so nice. Honest! A Craigslist kind of rub. Wink! By George, I think I’m on to something. Where art thou, Helga?

I honestly think john is mental.

    csyd,

If you want to call me mental, that’s your problem. Honestly! I’ve been called worse things in life. And I can assure you I’ve never set foot in a mental institution.

Sadly today, many destitute and unemployed folks may be experiencing mental problems. Being a mental health professional, in 2009, may actually increase your odds of holding a paycheck in your hands. Not all folks are able to hold a paycheck in their hands these days.

What’s your criteria for being mental? Perhaps listening to voices in a wall? Pathological lies? Selling homes to people who can’t afford them just to make a quick buck? Appraising a home at $450,00 when it’s actually worth $300,000? Raking in lots of money with Ponzi schemes? Practing Beltway politics, lies and deceit, with no remorse?
