The Dallas Morning News says it is being delivered, but the security detail at Daria Drive and Meaders has to intercept it and then the Secret Service has to scan it — maybe they should just read everything online? But what I want to know: if the Bushes don’t have any furniture, what was in those moving vans?
who cares?
Maybe they can pull a FEMA trailer into the driveway. Or better yet, ask Paul Bremer to supervise furnishings.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!
Ask Merritt. She’ll probably tell you that it was WMDs or something else totally classified.
My guess is that it was furniture and the usual stuff, some personal stuff from DC, some personal stuff from Crawford, but that the house is so large they don’t have every room filled just yet. Sounds about right. Don’t forget the have the house in Crawford; they’ll need to furnish this one as well.
Generally speaking, folks who live off the public dime for 12 years don’t have a lot of furniture. You would think one of the local elemetary school kids could come over and show W how to access the DMN online.
Regarding the newspaper delivery, why would the Bushes even want to read bad news, page-after-page, the shrub caused.
Regarding their sparsely furnished house, why are the Bushes in this predicament? Unlike many unemployed folks, sometimes terminated and gone in a matter of hours, the Bushes knew full well that they would be leaving Washington on January 20, 2009.
I do believe George W. needs more help than I thought. Sure, George W. didn’t have the brightest bulb managing the war in Iraq but you would think he, and his wife, could manage the rather simple logistics of a move which might perhaps involve the purchase of furniture.
The Bushes had months before their January 20 exit from Washington, and almost a month after their January 20 exit from Washington to buy furniture. Still, they’re behind the curve.
George, go out and buy 10,000 LAZY BOY chairs. Furniture problem solved! That is, if the Lazy Boy furniture company hasn’t gone bankrupt yet. Gosh, ONE LAZY BOY may save the Lazy Boy furniture company after all.
George can always go to the bathroom and sit on his throne.
If George is looking for furniture, I would most definitely recommend Hooker Furniture.
If George is not familiar with Hooker’s hardwoods, I would suggest he call them and check it out. Their hardwood collections are indeed impressive.
From what I learned, when Vietnamese President (Ex-) moved to US at the last minute before Saigon collapsed, the whole military cargo Plane arrived has many containers full of gold (brick-sized) inside. People think it was Furniture?
What was inside the moving van?
Private gate? Mmmmhhhh
Need to dig out more dirt?
