So says the Wall Street Journal. Our fortune in Texas, however, is that we are not California, Florida or Nevada. And we don’t have a state income tax, which may still reel in some luxury buyers, sources tell me.
Dave Perry-Miller, an Ebby Halliday Company, listed for $17,500,000. Check out the story. Check out the video. Help Dave plan how to spend his commi$$ion…
Inquiring minds are asking me:
Did 3525 Turtle Creek ever obtain Landmark Status?
What about that multi million dollar assessment to improve the interiors and exteriors?
What is the total number of units in the building?
What physical changes are proposed for the exterior elevation?
Has anyone agreed on anything?
After her late morning visit to Bushie’s new temp office at 5950 Berkshire Lane in Preston Center. The cute young gals from the D empire spotted her, and report that after all those years in D.C. she is just as beautiful as she was when she left Texas.
My sources tell me that Troy Aikman has been courting the house next door — 4419 Highland Drive — since January of 2008. Troy brought over an offer right before Thanksgiving, reaching a deal with owners Brian and Cheryl Potashnik in December. Troy’s agent, I’m told, is the amazing Allie Beth Allman. Word on the street is that Troy plans to tear down the house and annex it to enlarge his estate. Sounds like he paid at least $5 million for a place where he can throw the ball with his kids.
But the story gets even better, and shows what an amazing go-getter we have in Miss Allie Beth, agent to the President. Not only does she broker the sale of the Potashnik home, she goes out and finds Brian and Cheryl the perfect family home on Dartmouth, a home that was not even listed.
And now, everyone is happy!
So reports the Dallas Morning News: Aikman, who lives on Highland Drive, snapped up the home of embattled Brian and Cheryl Potashnik at 4419 Highland Drive. The News reports Aikman took out a $5 million dollar mortgage to purchase the property. I wonder, who was the agent — was there an agent?
Sources over at 5950 Bershire Lane, where President Bush has his temporary office, tell me the Secret Service arrived at about 8:00 a.m. yesterday morning, getting the parking garage all secure. (Lots o Maryland plates in that parking garage.) The president entered via the Lomo Alto entrance, avoiding the lobby, then went upstairs to his new office on the 9th floor to work. Hope all was ready for him. He left about 3:00 pm.
