…don’t you mean Martha Stewart was charged with securities fraud and obstruction of justice?

Perjury is giving false statements under oath / when giving sworn testimony, in open court, or when affirming sworn testimony. As far as I know, Martha did not tell them the truth (and yes, this is different than lying) when they questioned her. She was convicted by a jury of conspiracy, obstruction of justice, and giving false statements to federal investigators.

From what has been reported, it’s pretty safe to say that Mr. Cuban has not lied to SEC investigators…hence the civil nature of the proceedings…it’s going to be all about fines and penalties.

I don’t know Mark Cuban, but I do know he has enough money, and confidence, to stand up for himself, and his principles–I submit exhibit A; the approximately $1.7M in fines he was ordered to pay to the NBA.
