I agree with your comments. It was some work educating ourselves and our builder, but the real cost was not that much beyond what we would have done anyway to build a modern, energy-efficient home! Let's hope soon we can say we were among the first of thousands and thousand of LEED homes in Dallas! Our electricity bills average $100 a month for a 2900 square foot home. Alan Hoffmann was our builder. It is an insulated concrete form house.
