Not surprised because of it's very deserved status, but because AD is not known for showcasing the fine examples of great architecture we have here in the Lone Star state - the properties they feature are always east-west coast or abroad. I have been fortunate to be able to tour this beautiful mid-century gem a few times over the years, and was very happy to see that Mr Buchanan and the Eagles took such pains to renovate it such perfection - especially re-installing the famed moated dining platform. It's such a shame that more people with the means in Dallas (and Texas as a whole) can not recognize the beautiful post World War II architecture we have and are so relentless in their ego stroking to tear down our history.
