Plano Doesn’t Like Image As World’s Wealthiest City

Of a community with population 250,000 or more… Plano, says the U.S. Census Bureau, even beat out chi chi San Jose, CA where it appears everyone drives Maseratis. Plano has the highest per capita income at $84,492. The U.S. average is about $50,000. But the city is not particularly happy with this report. Poor Plano, always getting grief.

Well, as we all very well know, image is everything…

So what? You (in general) make a lot of money. It’s not like “wealthy” is synonymous with “a**hole.” Poor (or not so poor) Plano…just can’t get a break: your reputation precedes you.

    Oh well, shop it off.

I call on the “haves” of Plano to stimulate the economy–isn’t it time to get a new car…why not two? isn’t it time to get another designer outfit/handbag/pair of shoes…make that a bag or six full…? What about some re-modeling?

All Reaganomic-related jokes aside…sounds like a certain city might need to raise taxes (gasp).

Let me throw this out there: are the taxes in Plano lower than in Dallas? Do any of the suburbs contribute to Parkland Hospital?
