OK, it isn’t a home, but if I had to live in a hotel in downtown Dallas, this would be it!

I stayed there last week and I have to say it is a little overated here. It is way overpriced. I compare this to the Mansion which I have stayed at many times. Now there is a hotel I would like to live. You can get a package which includes breakfast and a welcome appetizer for just the price of one night at Joule.
Staying there Friday through Sunday. I’ll give you my full report on Tuesday!

Also something I learned from my stay. The public is welcome to go up to the pool bar any time from 5-10 or something like that. Even if you do not have a room. So go check it out yourself.

What is with the big push of this hotel…Candie do you have an financial interest in this place? I mean isn’t this exactly like your post on 8/13? The Joule is nice…we got it.

I forgot a few other things. They are, as you would expect, very accomodating. My wife wanted to bring our two small dogs. The girl at the desk we asked had to check with her manager but she said it was no problem.
I have also stayed at the Palomar many times. Which, I must say, I like better than the Joulle. The Palomar is VERY pet friendly. They will bring up dog beds, two bowls and treats if they know you have dogs.
The Palomar will also bring up a gold fish to your room upon request which my son always enjoys. We thought we would ask the people at the Joulle and they said they did not have gold fish. No big deal at all to me. But what I did like was the fact that they said they would GO GET ME ONE. I told them not to bother but that is service I can appreciate!!
We STILL need to do lunch. Anywho, after my mom told me plenty of stories about her exploration of the Joule I decided that I must check it out for myself. I’m excited to be spending my birthday there on Saturday.

DallasDirt is a daily discussion of the Dallas-Fort Worth real estate market, led by D Home Real Estate Editor Mary Candace Evans with contributions from real estate experts and aficionados. Topics include house porn, hot neighborhoods, hot agents, hip pockets, celebrity listings, second homes, vacation homes, real estate trends, data analysis, tips for buying, selling, or staying put. If DallasDirt were a house, it'd be a three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath ranch transitional on a quarter acre lot with stainless kitchen and granite countertops: sophisticated with designer touches, room for expansion. Make an offer.

Hi Candy,
