Tony Romo House: How I Found It

Here’s the scoop: Rogers Healy is Tony Romo’s Real Estate agent, that has been confirmed by Rogers. But Rogers has said not one word about the house he sold to Tony on August 18th. In fact, I have been trying to have lunch with Roger’s for months and he has stayed away from me like I have the Bubonic Plague or something. Play gumshoe on MLS, you find out that the transaction on the 18th was a home at 1608 Dowling Drive in Dallas, owned by Cartus Financial Group, probably a relocation firm, and Rogers was the Realtor along with listing agent Cheryl Keller of Coldwell Banker. The price paid as I have heard from other sources was about $670,000, and DCAD has the home appraised at $774,010. So it looks like our boy Tony got himself a pretty good deal, say what you will about those interiors.

Tony Romo has a good head on his shoulders. He probally could have bought just about anything in the Dallas metroplex area but instead got a good home in a great area on or near a golf course. Smart. He already got equity in the house! A good remodel will boost the value. There is no need to go and drop 3 million, unless off course it’s on the Malibu coastline.

Kim Rucker purchased the home in 2004 for $732,000

Just found your page Ms. Candace (btw…great name and it’s spelled correctly). I had originally posted a link to tmz, thinking they’d broken the story, but I updated and posted a link to yours. Great work!

That house looks terrible. I can’t believe a realtor worht his salt would let Romo buy such an outdated home. Research on this guy (Roger or Rogers) doesn’t show much- small firm of mostly kids. Not really any listings. He must be a high school friend of Romo’s or Romo felt sorry for him.

I knew Rogers at SMU (I was a couple years older) and have run into him around Dallas- He plays basketball with Romo and they became what Rogers calls “Best Friends” (although you never see them together). He’s a good guy, but I have to say that his inexperience kind of shows- looks like a house from Miami Vice. I just can’t believe Romo’s taste is this bad.

I am confused as to why all of you are dogging on Tony’s realtor? It seems that a few of you are a little jealous that you do not have personal relationships with Tony Romo.

I googled Rogers Healy as well and was fascinated by what he has accomplished at such a young age. I respect his ambition and think maybe a few of you negative bloggers should focus more on what you could be accomplishing in your own lives that finding fulfillment in cutting other people down on blogs.

And I would also like to add that Jessica Simpson most likely had a bigger opinion of what the house looks like than the realtor did. Maybe they TiVo Miami Vice and watch it together. I am sure that they don’t care what people think about it either because they are living the American Dream and we are the ones watching and wishing we had it.

If you have a look at Jessica’s house in LA there pretty similar. High ceilings, big windows, white kitchen pretty close to same lay out & all white walls. Interesting. Even that living room furniture is same colour. No tub in floor though. lol
Actually even the outside yard is similar. lol

About that tub inlaid into the bathroom floor… Wonder how many times Jess will step and fall into it before he gets a cover for it.

Rogers is a personal friend of mine and is an amazing person. He is a good friend, a VERY hard worker and as accomplished a tremendous amount for his age. It’s not his fault if Romo has poor taste. As some of you may know, when you are in sales - there is ONE thing that is most important… client satisfaction. And he delivers.
