Few years ago, some Realtors balked when I wrote a piece for D Magazine on how they were marketing really big Dallas houses. They balked because one agent had gone overboard — or so we thought — and put on a real dog and pony show. I think that was the first time I sat in a Bentley. Well, that was nothing. Now all high end luxury agents know they have to fete the jet set and we are not talking the Mezza Corona Pino Grigio – honey it’s Veuve Cliquot all the way for these folks, preferably sipped in a Lear. It is also no secret that, with the dollar in such a funk, foreigners are buying up our Real Estate faster than our SUVs are guzzling gas. To make money you simply have to spend money and spend it on the carefully selected very best in five different languages. Case in point.
