4224 Armstrong Parkway always seems to be on the market. Or off. Or on again. This time with Lindy Mahoney at Briggs-Freeman for $5,750,000. This is a Hal Thompson/Earl Hart Miller creation with wormy chestnut panelling and Zuber wallpaper. (See that dining room, that’s the real McCoy.) So why doesn’t it sell? I see Lindy even used the dreaded “L” word in her description… shudders. But what to do? Maybe this house just doesn’t want to commit?
Lot?
That would be a total shame. It is a great looking house.
A Modest Proposal: I think HRH Pogue should tear it down, go underground a la downtown Dakota propetry, and build his own Fortress of Solitude for reflections…on life, $, taste, $ and lastly $$. This will of course be connected to Rheims Place by monorail. The ground will not be laid bare however, I think it should host 5:1 scale bronzes of HRH and the Mizz sitting astride stallions like Mr Carter’s on Univeristy. Dream big!
Because if you’re going to drop 5.7M for a house in HP, i want at least 3 bathrooms, not 2.
