When I lived in Houston years ago, it became a bit of a problem for drug dealers to rent homes in the Memorial area and use them as spots to sell drugs. It was only after neighbors got suspicious about cars coming and going in the middle of the night and not so savory looking characters coming and going that the issue was put to the police. A few stakeouts yielded many arrests and it went back to being the sleepy, swanky wooded area of near-west Houston again. Sadly, not all that surprising.
