RE: Pit Bulls, Preston Hollow East, Unpublished Harris Interview

Remember the pit bull story and the guy who is suing one of the people his dogs bit along with Ebby Halliday Realtors? (How can you forget, right?) Here’s an interesting interview with John Harris in Park Cities People, from ace reporter Josh Hixson. Harris spoke on the record to Hixson and justified both his lawsuit and bringing the dogs back to the neighborhood, even though he said he wouldn’t.

“I think,” says Hixson, “we can assume he’s upset because he lost a potential buyer for his home on Royalton Drive.”

Here’s the link to the story, but here’s the really good stuff: part of the interview that didn’t make it in the story – a must-read!

John Harris does not give a flip about what he has said and he has no honor. Why you ask?
If his dog was to get out and attack someone again he is subject to criminal charges under Texas State Statues and guess what, it is a Class C Misemeanor with a fine not to exceed $500.00. Ok, so his dog has attacked two times, why has the City of Dallas or Dallas County Prosecuters not filed Criminal Charges. File and convict on the First Attack, Class C. Then File and Convict on the second attack. OOPS guess what? No longer a Class C but the second conviction is Class B. Up to 180 days in County Lock Up and up to $2,000 fine. So, City and County of Dallas, Where are you on this???

You could always petition the D.A. on this one, if you really want to. I think they’ve got a year to file criminal charges, so there are still many months left.

I hope the people he is suing file enough countersuits to bury him. Here’s the thing about his lawsuit(s): they will end up costing more money and time than they’re worth, and nothing good is going to come of them (if and when they are ever resolved).

Klassy to throw the dog bite victim in as a defendant. What a gentleman you are, Mr. Harris. What a man you are, Mr. Harris is. Oh, and PS: your house is ugly! That’s why you can’t sell it. Maybe you could send your pit bulls through the interior to do a little cheap demo work and then you could start over…Buuuuut this time you should have nothing to do with the decoration (not even so much as to give any sort of approval, because making good choices is not your forte, as we all know).

Your lack of taste and class is evident both in your personal actions (blaming everyone but yourselves) and in the “decor” that we see in the photos of your listing.
