Saw the segment when it aired this evening–pretty much old news at this point. Mr. Harris went back on his word, the dogs are back, neighbors are pissed.

They did air footage of him at the meeting saying he did not intend to bring the dogs back…so, now we (who were not at the meeting) have it straight from the horse’s mouth.

I like your reasoning thinking with this issue. I wish more people would get their head out of the sand and THINK about what people post. I agree that Candy has gone off the deep end with these pit bulls. Candy is your name Debbie O’Connor? One of the alleged victims? The one with the pinky that was bitten? Have you filed a civil suit against the Harrises? Why do you keep putting up links to the DCAD that shows info on the Harris? I know its public info but don’t you think your being a little childish? Are you hoping someone will kill or injure the dog that attacked you? Are you hoping someone will read your blogs on this and get revenge for you?

Reading your other blogs here your husband is a great hunter. So much that you have had to buy another $500,000+ home just to store the heads of all the animals he has killed. You call it a trophy house, I call it sick. If your Dr. Husband is such a great hunter, why doesn’t he just hunt down the dog that attacked you? Then you can put the dogs head in your new trophy home. I am a animal rights person and I think what you and your husband do to animals and the lengths you will go to show off your killing prowess is despicable. Maybe I’ll start posting your address up with DCAD links and let some of my friends who are staunch animal rights supports see where you live. I can’t wait to see your new trophy home.

I too would like to know your five sources. As a reporter/blogger you should get your facts straight before you just bellow your own hate about your neighbor.

For the record I have a pit bull also that wouldn’t hurt a flee. She’s my baby, so I may be a little biased. Also several terrier breeds are mis-labeled as pit bulls when in fact they are not. The locking jaw in pit bulls is pure myth like Omar pointed out in one of your other blogs on pit bulls.

Just a question–can you back up the statement “the locking jaw in pit bulls is a pure myth” ?

Sorry to all the owners and lovers of pit bulls, but I don’t think they have a bad reputation for no reason. Every breed of dog has a generalizable disposition–check out the AKC for more info (once they are back online).

Sounds lovely. I don’t know why more people with small children don’t have them. Here is the deal: they are a liability. If the dog is not trained, it can be very dangerous. It sounds like lack of training rather than improper training (training it to fight) could lead to problems. So, for all of you who say “these owners are responsible and should be investigated for abusing these dogs and making them so aggressive,” I really think you’re missing the point. The owners are irresponsible in not training them, but no more than the owners of less aggressive breeds–pet owners are lazy, and training a pet is hard. I would feel comfortable making the statement that the majority of pet owners provide minimal training for their pets. Given this fact–and the breed’s innate aggressive and willful nature–it would be a good idea for there to be LESS of them out there.

If your anti-hunting you wouldn’t allow all the animals heads to be in your home, so many your going to buy another home just to hang them? Your sick, and just goes to show you will write anything to keep people from knowing the truth. Congratulations oh great reporter.
