Warning: Negative Real Estate News, GORY PARK?

Tom Hicks has put Glory Park on hold — if anything, our economic climate today is worse than post 9/11. At least back then everyone wanted to cocoon. Now we may want to cocoon but have no money or financing. Plus that name. I mean, what if the “L” falls off during a storm, like the old “Hiltop” (which used to be the “Hilton”) which is now the Palomar which is another story, and the the place would be G ORY PARK?

So can we now call that hole in the ground “Glory Hole”?

Funny, but I’d swear that Hicks’ promises of major development around the Ballpark started at least 15 years ago. Sounds like just his latest excuse. In fact, this whole thing sounds like Hicks’ Rangers - “just wait until 2009 or 2010 when we will finally meet expectations!” And then when 2009-2010 get here, it’s “wait until 2012…”
