Tucker Hill: With A Name Like That, You Just Have To Live There (Or At Least Visit)

I love the name of this community so much I want to write a weekly TV series called “Tucker Hill”. Four women, all Dallas blondes. One’s a Realtor, one’s an Interior Designer, one’s a Sunday School Teacher, one’s a stay at home mom who home-schools and no one in the family ever swears. Until I complete that script, here’s what’s really happening at Tucker Hill: The 2008 Spring Parade of Homes™ presented by the Home Builders Association of Greater Dallas starts  May 17, this Saturday, through June 8 at that gloriously named community in McKinney. The annual event benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas® and HomeAid/Home Builders Care and tickets are $12 at the door A BARGAIN! If you are watching pennies after pumping gasoline into your car, discount tickets are available inline at www.paradeofhomes.com and fabulous Tom Thumb stores.

Avery Johnson’s Home

National Home Sales Down Bigtime, Not So In Dallas/Fort Worth

This according to CNN/Money who says all we are down overall is 2 %. Take that to the tax man!

DallasDirt is a daily discussion among editors at D Magazine and D Home about the Dallas-Fort Worth residential real estate market, with topics including but not limited to: hot neighborhoods, secret listings, celebrity listings, real estate trends, tips for buying, tips for selling, data analysis, and more. If DallasDirt were a house, it'd be a three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath ranch house in "above average" condition -- that is, sophisticated with nice touches and comfy enough you’ll want to stay a while.
