Eve Reid’s New Home Project

It’s this wonderful home on Airline Drive that I have been meaning to blog, and thankfully Rebecca posted it on the D Home blog so you can get all the scoop. Amazing place: the paints in the home are true mid-century modern colors and most amazingly, are the original paints from the 1950’s. (What did they put in there? I cannot get my paint to last six months!) This home is on the market for $1,350,000 but I predict it won’t last…

I must have misunderstood Rebecca’s posting yesterday. So it’s back on the market? If so, I hope Doug Newby will make sure it won’t get sold to a bulldozer.

DallasDirt is a daily discussion among editors at D Magazine and D Home about the Dallas-Fort Worth residential real estate market, with topics including but not limited to: hot neighborhoods, secret listings, celebrity listings, real estate trends, tips for buying, tips for selling, data analysis, and more. If DallasDirt were a house, it'd be a three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath ranch house in "above average" condition -- that is, sophisticated with nice touches and comfy enough you’ll want to stay a while.
