Then I’ve got a great secret: you can meander over to Meletio Electric at the Preston/Forest Shopping Center, the one with Clotheshorse Anonymous, and get a deal. I’m sad to report that this Meletio, which has been at the location since 1962, is closing while the other Dallas and Frsico locations are staying and going great guns. Let me guess: Landlord raised the rent. Whatever, translation for consumer: great buys for us: Meletio Lighting & Electrical Supply Streamlines Operations for Better Customer Experience.
In October 1962, Meletio Electric opened a small Lighting Showroom in what is now the Preston Forest Square Shopping Center. “Back then, servicing the needs of our customers was easy” said Ken Reiser, Owner. “Lighting was pretty simple… we just needed to carry the basics that the neighborhood required, brass chandeliers, table lamps and the normal assortment of 25, 40, and 60 watt bulbs.”
“In today’s market place customers want choice…and plenty of it! With so many technical advances in the lighting industry, combined with the wide array of choices the customer now demands, we literally have out grown this store!”
That is why Meletio has decided to combine its Preston Forest store with its Dallas and Frisco locations.
“For sentimental reasons, it’s hard to relocate this store,” says Reiser. “But for the past 45 years we have listened to what our customers have said, and this situation is no different. We need to focus on the needs of our customers who tell us that our other two showrooms, Dallas and Frisco, have all of the selections and manufacture brands they need under one roof!”
“Listening to our customers is priority number one, whether it’s product offerings, finishes, promotions and now locations. Our customers have made us who we are today and will continue to for the next 45 years!”
To thank their valued customers for their support, the Preston Hollow store will host the Meletio Magnificent Moving Sale May 15th through the 17th, with savings up to 75% on all items in the store.
Oh no, that makes me sad. I love Melitio–I buy all of my lamps and fans there.
