Turrets are dead. This official word comes from Realtors, Builders, and other Real Estate experts who say that anyone building a home in 2008 with a turret needs to be tossed over the crenellation, or maybe just locked in the Tower.
Surely you know I jest. But a source tells me about 10 new properties in the Preston Hollow area are in trouble, banks looking at them closely to see if they should be lent more money to finish the job or — be taken back by the bank and put on the auction block. In any case, I will wager that those with the turrets are in the deepest doodoo. But thinking again, these days some wives might find a turret quite useful indeed.
