Anyhow I thought Martha would be a good person to pose this question to as she was Lady Bird Johnson’s press secretary: how many Secret Service agents will be required to guard and protect George and Laura when they move back? At least twelve, says Martha. One for the (former) President, one for the (former) First Lady but they will have to split 3 eight-hour shifts so each will need at least 6 SS guys (or gals).
