The first lady admits to her love of homes and building in the March issue of Architectural Digest, which showcases her redesign of the White House with Fort Worth designer Kenneth Blasingame. According to the article, the First Family only redecorates and refreshes what needs to be be done, all with guidance (in historical rooms) from the White House curator and the 17 members of the Committee for the Preservation of the White House. Mrs. Bush and Blasingame have been working on the White House since 2001 — first on the family’s personal quarters, then several state rooms, the Queen’s Bedroom and the Lincoln Bedroom. Mrs. Bush also oversaw the re-design of the Library and, of course, the Oval Office. Anyhow, after reading this one cannot help but speculate if Kenneth Blasingame will once again be working with the First Lady, in Dallas… but where?
