The master bedroom of Champs d’Or, that mega mega mansion to the north of us (the one we pray Miz Real Estalker does not get her claws on) will be featured this Sunday on HGTV’s “Ultimate Bedrooms For Romance”. (Hope it’s not the same time as Desperate Housewives, though they really ought to shoot a DH segment in that house…
The ladies of Wisteria Lane bed down at Champs after the tornado. Do a little shopping in the Design District, Northpark, boogie at Ghostbar. Susan has a tryst with a totally buff “cowboy” who turns out to be the largest stake owner in the Barnett Shale, Bree redecorates so well George Cameron Nash makes her a business partner, Gabriella convinces the Realtor to fly her offshore in his private jet to find the safety deposit box info she lost in the storm, the jet makes an emergency landing on an island and the two are stuck FOR DAYS with no hairdryer, deodarent or couture, Lynette loses her kids in Champs’ bowling alley only to be re-united with them at the Gaylord Texan — a reverse Home Alone.

It’s a beautiful home, no doubt. But, for this price, wouldn’t you expect grounds that reflect the character of the home? That mucky brown pond next to the house? Ick.
Even the landscaped grounds look more bland than some $400K homes in north Dallas or the northern suburbs.
No, thanks.
What did someone once tell me: there is no accounting for good taste unless you have a really great accountant. Or something to that effect.
